14 cases, one lakh 25 thousand rupees case settled in Lok Adalat

Medininagar | Under the guidelines of Jhalsa and the aegis of District Legal Services Authority, under the direction of Principal District and Sessions Judge Pradeep Kumar Choubey, a Lok Adalat was organized in the Behavioral Court on Saturday. Giving information in this regard, Arvind Kachhap, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority said that seven benches were formed to settle the matter in Lok Adalat. In this, 14 cases were settled based on a conciliation agreement and a total of one lakh 25 thousand rupees were settled. The first bench was made to settle the matter related to a family dispute, but not a single case was settled. In bench number two, the matter of MACT and Electricity Department was settled by DJ First Santosh Kumar and Advocate Pradeep Kumar. In this bench, three cases of the Bidhut department were disposed of. Bench three was set up for the disposal of civil cases. Not a single civil case could be disposed of on this bench. In bench four, the criminal case was settled by Chief Judicial Magistrate Nirupam Kumar and Santosh Kumar Pandey, Advocate. 11 cases were disposed of in this bench. The Lok Adalat was conducted in both Bhartual and Hybrid modes. In this, the Forest Department received revenue of Rs 74 thousand, Excise Department received revenue of Rs 27 thousand, and the Bidhut department received revenue of 24 thousand rupees. It may be noted that the National Lok Adalat will also be organized on 11th December. In which the target of disposal of cases on a large scale has been set.
