After the allocation of coal block, the coal minister appealed, the state should cooperate with the companies in starting the mine

The Ministry of Coal has allocated coal blocks for commercial mining on the basis of auction of second tranche of coal mines with eight successful bidders. Eight coal blocks have been allotted, including three coal blocks in Jharkhand. The allotment document was signed on 23 September.

On the occasion, Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi has appealed to the companies to cooperate in starting the coal mines allotted from the coal block states. It has been said that the next installment of auction of commercial mines will be started in October/November. The tender document for the second attempt at auction of 11 coal mines will be issued soon.

The mines for which production and development agreements have been signed are Bhaskarpara, Burkhap Small Patch, Gondkhari, Jogeshwar, Khas Jogeshwar, Rauta Closed Mine, Bhivkund, Jhigdor and Khargaon. The companies that have been allocated Coal Blunock include Sunflag Iron; Steel Company Limited, South West Pinnacle Exploration Limited, Prakash Industries Limited, CG Natural Resources Private Limited, Adani Power Maharashtra Limited and Srisatya Mines Private Limited. The three coal blocks allotted to Jharkhand include Burkhap Small Patch, Jageshwar and Khas Jageshwar and Rauta Closed Mine.
