Bharat Bandh does not have much effect in Ranchi, tight security arrangements have been made

Ranchi. There is a mixed effect of the Bharat Bandh called in support of the farmers’ movements and protest against the agricultural bills. Many shops are closed on the main road of Ranchi. However, shops have opened in other areas. Cars are running on the roads. Buses are running from Khadgarha to Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Bokaro, Giridih, Koderma etc. More than half a dozen vehicles were seen carrying passengers near Booty More. The streets are crowded as before. Auto movement is normal at Kanta Toli Chowk. City buses are also plying on the roads. In the areas like Doranda, Hinoo, Ashoknagar etc., vehicles are plying as usual. Shops are open. However, in view of the security, police have been deployed at various places. Police are stationed near Albert Ekka Chowk.

The mixed effect of the bandh is being seen in the surrounding areas of Ranchi. Most of the shops and passenger vehicles are closed in Torpa. However, freight and small trains are operational. While the effect of the bandh is not visible in the Bedo block headquarters. All commercial establishments and vegetable markets are open. Schools are closed in view of Bharat Bandh. Although online classes are going on. Schools say that exams are about to start. The school has been kept closed but online classes are going on. Here, a procession has been taken out from Ratu, Piskamod on behalf of CPI-ML. The procession reached Albert Ekka Chowk. Whereas a torch procession was taken out from Congress Bhawan to Albert Ekka Chowk on Sunday evening on behalf of Congress.

Opposition parties have also given their support to the Bharat Bandh of trade unions against the central agricultural laws. By taking to the road, the workers of the opposition party will participate in the Bharat Bandh. Tight security arrangements have been made in Jharkhand regarding this. 1000 additional jawans have been deployed in Ranchi to prevent any untoward incident. The police force under the leadership of the magistrate will handle the law and order. Apart from Ranchi and Hatia railway stations, special attention will be kept on bus stand, auto stand etc. Special attention will be given to those who create disturbance in the name of Bharat Bandh. The SP has directed the Thanedars to make special patrols in their respective areas. Police have also been alerted in Hazaribagh, Koderma, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Giridih. The opposition has given support to the Bharat Bandh.

Bharat Bandh has mixed effect in Palamu district. The operation of buses and goods carrier vehicles has come to a standstill in the district. Bandh supporters blocked the road by putting a truck at Sixmuhan located in Medininagar, the district headquarters of Palamu. They are raising anti-central government slogans. In this, slogans are being raised, stop inflation, take back agricultural bills etc. In all the block headquarters of the district, the supporters have stopped the operation of vehicles by taking to the road. The bandh supporters include leaders and workers of many organizations including Kisan United Front, Congress, RJD, CPI ML, CPI ML Red Star, Communist Party of India, AAP Party, JMM.
