Aurangabad, The Marathwada region of Maharashtra comprising of 8 districts recorded 451 new cases of COVID-19 and 4 fatalities during the past 24 hours, officials said.
Beed topped the list with 241 new cases and 2 deaths, followed by Osmanabad with 102 cases and single death, Aurangabad 51 cases and single death, Latur with 44 cases, Parbhani registered 6 cases, Jalna recorded 5 cases, Nanded 2 cases and Hingoli nil.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 6,857 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the cumulative total number of infections to 62,82,914. In the same period, 286 fresh demises were also registered.
