National women’s junior hockey in Simdega from today, CM Hemant Soren will inaugurate

The 11th Junior National Women’s Championship will begin in Simdega from Wednesday. The first match will be between Karnataka and Bengal. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will formally inaugurate the competition at 1.30 am. The Chief Minister will also start some other programs during this period. Along with this, CM will also lay the foundation stone of Multi Sports Complex. There will also be a web broadcast of this competition which will be viewable in 196 countries.

Teams from 26 states will fight to become the national champions till October 29 at the Astro Turf Stadium in Simdega. The 26 teams are divided into eight pools. More than 500 players are taking part in the competition. The Mizoram team has sent information about the absence.

Host Jharkhand’s match will also be held on the first day. The Jharkhand team will play the match with Tamil Nadu from 3.30 pm. Four matches will be played on the first day.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren will lay the foundation stone of a multi-purpose sports complex to be built on 11 acres near the stadium after the inauguration of the national competition. The complex will have facilities like athletics track, indoor badminton hall, archery centre, volleyball, basketball court, football ground. Along with this, the foundation stone of another hockey stadium in Simdega will also be laid on this occasion.

Protein powder was distributed by the district administration to each player, coach, manager (total (520 people) and 50 volunteers) participating in the championship. This was done keeping in mind the health of the players.
